When I got home from work last evening, The Clark Boys had already eaten dinner. But David typically gets most of his caloric intake after 6pm, so it was no surprise when he announced in a big booming voice, "I Want To Make EGGS, and I Know What To Do!!!"
Anyone who knows David is well aware that the big booming voice is merely a part of being David.
And he was right; he did know what to do. He picked the pan, buttered it, broke three eggs into a bowl, and grabbed a spatula that wouldn't scratch the pan. Even salted and peppered the eggs before cooking them. In short he fared far better than I did at the same age, what with the "boiling an empty pot" incident. The result was scrambled eggs that he took upstairs and ate with frozen peas. Yes...frozen peas. I'm hoping there will be some food waiting for me tomorrow night after work now.
