Today was the last work day at the Y for our great friend Edraya. She has chosen to take a job closer to home, and is moving on. She's a force of common sense, and a willing smiling even on the toughest of nights. Her no-bull approach in the Kid's Gym kept both of The Clark Boys in line, and in turn they both adored her. While David would never admit to it, I could see that he was sad to hear that she was leaving. She laid down very clear rules for David and he thrived on it. Jack somehow started calling her Duckee, which she happily accepted. Eddy always had a knack at getting Jack to laugh and wear hats. She would read to him during nursery time, and kept a regular schedule of activities every time he visited. Her interest and caring for David and Jack was genuine, and Eddy was willing to listen on those days when parenting was a tough job.
While the Y still has a great set of superstars on their staff, we will surely miss our friend Edraya for all the great support and guidance she has given in the last year. Thanks for everything Eddy...we'll miss you at The Y!
