This was a last-minute shot taken out of the gate window at Burbank's Bob Hope Airport. The darkened glass may have contributed to the overall view but the view was stunning with or without. The camera was held by hand and braced - somehow - against the window to get this. The original shot is about 250 pixels wider, and this cropped view focuses on the most dramatic part of the event.
It was a beautiful way to leave California last night!
