While The Clark Boys and I were at Bellevue's Downtown Park on Sunday, I took a couple minutes near the waterfall to take this panorama shot of the city skyline. What you see here is about 12 separate photos, taken with a Canon Powershot 8-megapixel camera borrowed from a friend. I then "stitched" the photos together with Windows Live Photo Gallery into the panorama you see. Oh, and I used Picasa to tint the top half of the photo with blue to bring out the drama in the clouds; they were dramatic in person, but that character doesn't always show up on the picture.
Today I came across the cool tool at BigHugeLabs that "frames" your digital photos. After framing the one above, maybe it wasn't such a good idea...
...because now I want a framed copy for myself!
I'm amazed at the difference between just viewing the photo and then seeing that same one in a frame. I'm not sure what it is that makes this framed version more alluring, but it does have some kind of draw to me. Maybe it's the way the clouds are rolling above the buildings, surrounded by hard-edged lines in both the photo and the frame. I couldn't say for sure.
But I'm certain about one thing: I like it so much that I'm offering it for sale! Check it out at my Imagekind Page. They make great gifts! ;)
