This shot was taken with my $35 digital camera on a tripod, using the "Night" feature that allows a 4-second time lapse. Just enough to soak the shot in light. And with this house, that was darned simple...
This neighbor has a sweet Chevy van from the mid-1960s, and was willing to trim it in lights while putting a giant inflatable animal behind the wheel. If you ask me he pretty much won any Christmas light contest in the neighborhood!
The lawn is also trimmed in lights. That's Santa on the fence thanks to a projector buried somewhere. And he's a nice guy! When I was taking pictures he came out and wished me a Merry Christmas.
Oh yeah. Out of the picture is a ten-foot tall star....sixty feet up in a tree above the house. Yep, he won!
