February Front Yard Cook Out!

It's like camping without the camping!

We did a "front yard camp out" last September, and since February typically has nice but cold weather I thought it would be fun to do it again. The tent was set up on Friday night (mostly so I could practice setting it up for future camping trips). David and I cut scrap wood when I got home from work on Saturday; it was all old fencing and pallet wood we've acquired. David also gathered the drinks into a small cooler and brought it out, after stringing some lights to help us get around the yard in the dark. We had standard camping food ready to go: Hot Dogs, Chips, drinks, and S`Mores.

It was perfect timing and weather. By the time David and I got everything ready, it was dark and the fire was burning. Elfie got a little quiet time at the fire before Sherry came out and put him in the tent. Our friend Tracy came with his dog Bailey just in time to roast the hot dogs. Next to the flame we didn't really notice how cold it was outside, but when I passed one of our cars in the driveway I notice that the roof was frozen. Yikes!

After S`mores we went inside so David could pound on Tracy in Mario Kart. Good times!
