Another Saturday? Hardly!

I love Saturdays when my kids do incredible things...

David set up his art easel and started drawing cars and trains. The result was nothing short of awesome for a six year old with a set of watercolor pens - a steam train near a grassy railroad crossing, under a sunny sky. He even smeared the steam coming out of the stack to give it the correct look. On the other side of the easel he had drawn a steam train's coal tender in chalk. The self-portrait he brought home from school the other day was filled with tremendous detail, so I'm not surprised that he went to the trouble creating something that looked real. Nice work David!

While The Big Man was drawing away downstairs, Jack was supposed to be taking a nap. But after nearly two hours I could tell upstairs that he was simply jumping up and down in the crib and singing. So I got him up and tried to settle him down by laying quietly on the big bed with him. But he continued to wiggle and eventually wanted stories read to him.
