HLBC Smorgasbord 2008
Saturday December 6th was our annual pilgrimage to Haller Lake Baptist Church for the Christmas Smörgåsbord. Since the church was founded by a group of maverick Scandinavians (well, okay maybe they weren't so maverick, but it sounded good), it's only fitting that the Northern European food is brought out in full force every year. Dishes like Salmon, Swedish Meat Balls, red potatoes, and - yes indeed - Lutefisk are served buffet style. Of course, like any group of Scandinavians (and even honorary ones), there was plenty of coffee to go around! After all the eating was through we all went upstairs to the sanctuary to sing Christmas carols and listen to some beautiful music played on the Harp.
